Join now >Bears quarterback Mark Sanchez injures left knee, will miss the rest of OTAs and minicamp.
The team is reportedly hoping for Sanchez to be back for training camp. Regardless, Sanchez will be a veteran presence to lean on for rookie Mitchell Trubisky and new start Mike Glennon this season, but he probably won't see action in the regular season if Glennon stays healthy.

Sammy Watkins is not expected to practice until training camp.
Watkins had foot surgery after the season, so the Bills are not going to rush their star receiver. It’s also worth noting that quarterback Tyrod Taylor says Watkins has matured and shown “more attention to detail,” even though he isn’t on the field. Watkins has elite ability and he should put up big number as long as he’s healthy this season.

Laquon Treadwell is a lot more comfortable heading into his second season.
Treadwell notably said he’s helping some of the younger guys and admits: “I actually know what I’m talking about.” Treadwell said things have “slowed down a lot” compared to last season. Vikings GM Rick Spielman already said this offseason that Treadwell is one of the hardest workers he knows. With Treadwell having a much better understanding of the offense, and things moving slower for him, he’ll be able to play more free in his second season. Treadwell might not have a huge breakout yet, but he should be a key member of the Vikings’ passing attack.

Andre Holmes has been “an early standout” at Bills’ OTAs.
Holmes was with the Raiders for the last four seasons and struggled to get steady playing time with Michael Crabtree and Amari Cooper as the top two receivers. The Bills signed Holmes as a free agent and it might have been one of the better moves in free agency. At 6’4″ with very good downfield ability, Holmes might be the guy to step up opposite Sammy Watkins. Rookie second rounder Zay Jones is week-to-week with a knee sprain, so Holmes will have a chance to separate himself early in the offseason activities. As we’ve stated in the past, Jon Gruden is a fan of Holmes, and thought he just needed an opportunity outside of Oakland. Consider us fans, too. Holmes is someone to watch.

Dontrelle Inman had core muscle surgery, according to Adam Schefter.
Schefter reports Inman will be out six weeks, so he should be good for training camp. Inman is in a crowded receiving corps that includes Keenan Allen returning from his ACL tear and seventh overall pick Mike Williams. Inman will probably contribute to the team more in real life than he will to your fantasy team this season if everyone in the receiving group stays healthy.

Pete Carroll says the Seahawks run game will come "roaring right back" this season.
Carroll was on 710 ESPN Seattle and said this, via Sheil Kapadia. Carroll talked about the struggles they had last season with Russell Wilson being banged up and other guys being hurt, and he expects them to be healthier and run the ball more this season. As Carroll said, the Seahawks rushed about 100 less times last season than the year before. Look for more running and less passing from the Seahawks this season. Right now, Lacy looks like he'll have the most value this season, but don't discount Thomas Rawls and/or C.J. Prosise stepping up. Prosise will certainly have a passing down role.

Bruce Arians says tight end Troy Niklas is a starter with Jermaine Gresham.
The Cardinals are relying on Niklas, a former second round pick that's battled injuries throughout his career, to step up to the team this season. Niklas is still only 24-years-old, and has a lot of ability. Through three seasons, Niklas has missed 22 games and has only eight receptions for 71 yards and two touchdowns. Head coach Bruce Arians says Niklas is having great OTA, and it's worth noting that Jon Gruden told Arian Niklas looked like a great player last season (but he got hurt). Even with Jermaine Gresham, who just signed a new contract this offseason, the 6"6" Niklas could be a breakout player this season. We're pulling for him to stay healthy.
