Join now >Phillip Dorsett had foot surgery today, according to Brady Henderson.
Dorsett had bone spurs that needed to be cleaned up, and while he isn’t considered to be done for the season, foot surgeries can be tricky—especially for wide receivers. David Moore will continue operating as Seattle’s third wideout behind D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett until if/when Josh Gordon is reinstated.

The Patriots are acquiring Isaiah Ford.
It’s rare for two divisional teams to make a trade together, especially in middle of the season at the deadline. But Ford will give New England a solid inside target that could quickly mesh with Cam Newton as they look to turn their season around. This might not do much from a fantasy perspective, but Ford is an interesting potential boost to the Patriots offense in real life.

Andy Dalton is being placed on the COVID-19/reserve list.
Dalton is out for Week 9 against the Steelers, so Ben DiNucci will make his second career start with Dalton out for a second consecutive week. It’s been a rough year for both Dalton and the Cowboys, and hopefully the veteran quarterback is feeling better soon.

The Seahawks are releasing Luke Willson.
Seattle has a surplus of tight ends, but Willson might be a good bet to land back with the team on the practice squad. If not, Willson has long-time familiarity with the organization and might be back in the future.

Jamaal Williams was designated as a high-risk close contact to A.J. Dillon and is out on Thursday night, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
Unfortunately, the new COVID-19 rules will knock out the Green Bay runner after back-to-back impressive games, but hopefully they will have Aaron Jones (calf) back in the lineup against San Francisco. Williams now has to isolate for five days.

Jamaal Williams is considered a “close contact” to A.J. Dillon.
The NFL must now determine the next steps for Williams, who could potentially be forced to miss this Thursday’s game against the 49ers. We’ll track Williams’ status leading up to the final Week 9 injury report being released on Wednesday.

The Eagles re-signed Hakeem Butler to the practice squad.
This was expected. Butler will continue to develop on the practice squad as he looks to make a successful transition to tight end.
