Join now >Aaron Jones (calf) is questionable for Week 9.
The thought has been that Jones would sit out tomorrow night, but Green Bay is very thin at running back, so we’ll see if he makes a push to return. If not, Dexter Williams would likely be called up from the practice squad to lead the backfield against San Francisco.

Josh McCown is signing with the Texans.
McCown has been essentially operating as a half coach, half player with the Eagles this year, but he’s jumping at the opportunity to sign with Houston—which could be partly due to an easier commute while juggling responsibilities as a high school football coach. The veteran should be a great help for Deshaun Watson in the quarterback room.

Alvin Kamara has a foot injury, but it’s not considered major, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
Kamara won’t practice today, but nothing about missed time was alluded to, so fantasy owners can hope it ends up being little more than a maintenance day. That said, foot injuries can be tricky, and nothing can be taken for granted at this point. It’s also possible the Saints are playing games ahead of a huge matchup versus Tampa Bay on Sunday night.

The Buccaneers are not expected to know Chris Godwin’s status until Friday.
Godwin is participating in practice while wearing a cast, and it sounds like they’ll see if he can fully participate while catching the ball to end the week. Ideally, Godwin’s status will be known before the weekend, and we’ll keep you posted on his status when the final Week 9 injury report is out on Friday.

T.Y. Hilton (groin) will not practice today.
Colts head coach Frank Reich says Hilton must practice this week to play on Sunday, so he has a couple of days to get on the practice field. Right now, we’d say Hilton is leaning toward the doubtful side of things for Week 9.

Kendrick Bourne tested positive for COVID-19.
The 49ers closed their facility today, and this puts tomorrow night’s game against the Packers in jeopardy. However, the NFL reportedly is planning to play the game as scheduled. Stay tuned. Hopefully Bourne is feeling better and can test negative for the virus soon, but he’ll be out for this week at least and potentially longer.

The NFL upheld Javon Wims’ two-game suspension.
While Wims’ actions were retaliation against Saints defensive back Chauncey Gardner-Johnson pulling out his mouthpiece first (and Wims claims CGJ also spit on him), this is not a surprise. You can’t throw punches in middle of an NFL game. Wims will miss the next two games against the Titans and Vikings.
