Join now >Saquon Barkley confirmed to have a torn ACL.
Barkley’s season is unfortunately over after just two games. This is obviously a huge blow to the Giants as well as fantasy owners that took him second overall behind Christian McCaffrey in most leagues. Barkley’s season ends with 19 carries for 34 yards and six receptions for 60 yards—undoubtedly tough numbers for a guy that willed his way to 1,000 yards rushing last season to look at with no way to get back on the field this year. The Penn State product now faces surgery and the rehab process, but he’s a special talent that’ll be determined to get back on the field and be better than ever in 2021. Barkley will likely be ready to go for Week 1 next season.

Tyrod Taylor (chest) is week-to-week, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Taylor experienced chest pain before Sunday’s game that led to him being hospitalized, but although he was fortunately was released, it’s unclear when he will return to the field. No. 7 overall pick Justin Herbert showing extremely well in his career debut should allow the Chargers to play it safe with Taylor, who everyone obviously hopes will make a quick recovery. Herbert would be a strong streamer in a good matchup against the Panthers in Week 3 if he draws another start.

Courtland Sutton feared to have suffered a serious knee injury, according to NFL Network.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and James Palmer say that Sutton is getting an MRI today to determine the extent of his knee injury, but this doesn’t sound good. The injuries from around the league yesterday have been simply insane, and Sutton would probably do well not to be out for the season. More information should become available today or tomorrow on the exact extent of the injury.

Christian McCaffrey (ankle) is expected to miss “multiple weeks.”
This is according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. The ankle issue was obviously relatively serious after the frustration McCaffrey showed following the injury yesterday. Perhaps it would be something McCaffrey would push through in something like a playoff situation, but both sides are going to be smart with this considering McCaffrey is a young player and foundational piece to the offense and franchise. Mike Davis is set to take over the backfield during McCaffrey’s absence, and he should at least deliver FLEX value.

Sterling Shepard is dealing with turf toe, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Shepard went down on Sunday, and an MRI confirming the injury would almost certainly cause him to miss multiple games. The Giants are really hurting in terms of injuries with superstar centerpiece Saquon Barkley (knee) believed to be done for the year, and Shepard would be another blow to the offense. New York will lean on Darius Slayton, Evan Engram, and Golden Tate as the top playmakers for Daniel Jones.

The Texans are signing Dwayne Harris to their practice squad, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.
Harris could potentially make an impact as an accomplished returner if promoted to the active roster, but he’s not currently on the fantasy radar.

James White is inactive for Sunday night.
Sadly, White’s father died in a car accident, according to Andy Slater. This is tough to hear, and our prayers are with the White family.
