Join now >The Redskins have released Jordan Reed, according to ESPN’s Field Yates.
Reed had just recently been cleared from the concussion protocol, and being healthy allowed Washington to move on from the former Pro Bowl tight end. Turning 30 this summer, Reed’s biggest question mark is obviously health, and even a dream landing spot like New England might not put him back on the TE1 map in fantasy drafts this summer. That said, now would be the time to buy low in dynasty leagues.

Jarvis Landry underwent hip surgery.
The Browns announced Landry underwent the surgery on February 4. The tough receiver is “expected to make a full recovery for the 2020 season,” according to the team. Perhaps Landry will miss offseason training, but we would think he’ll be good to go for the start of training camp at the latest. Cleveland’s top two receivers underwent surgery this offseason, as Odell Beckham Jr. had sports hernia surgery.

The Bears signed Demetrius Harris, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Harris joins Bears head coach Matt Nagy after the two spent time together in Kansas City a few years ago. Harris is a strong addition as Chicago looks to get more consistent production from the tight end position.

The Dolphins are signing Michael Roberts, according to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.
Roberts missed all of last season with a shoulder injury, but he lands with a rising Miami squad and will look to contribute as both a receiver—particularly in the red zone—and run blocker. Roberts is not likely to make a huge fantasy impact with Mike Gesicki locked in as the starting tight end for the Dolphins.

The Redskins have exercised Adrian Peterson’s club option for 2020.
Peterson is under contract for $2.5 million, with another $1.5 million available in incentives, so this is not a surprise considering the future Hall of Fame running back’s play over the past couple of years. “All Day” is different than most people, and we do not expect his skills will fall off despite hitting 35 years old next month. Peterson is currently fifth all-time on the NFL’s rushing list, 1,053 yards behind Barry Sanders for fourth in history.

Greg Olsen is signing with the Seahawks, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
It is reportedly a one-year, $7 million deal for Olsen, which is notable money and indicates the Seahawks expect solid production this season. Olsen took visits to Seattle, Buffalo, and Washington, and he’s decided to go across country and join a Seahawks team that is virtually always in contention with Russell Wilson at quarterback. Seattle has a bit of a logjam at tight end with Will Dissly and potentially Jacob Hollister (set to become a restricted free agent) also in the mix, so it’s tough to gauge the fantasy value of Olsen at the moment. The veteran tight end’s upside is likely limited assuming Dissly stays healthy and on the field. Olsen could have joined a network to work in the broadcast booth or studio, but he’ll instead suit up for his age-35 season.

Drew Brees is returning for the 2020 season.
Brees announced in an Instagram post of himself standing at the tip of a hill/mountain: “My feelings about the 2020 season! I look forward to the grind and the journey, for the reward at the end will be worth it!!! Love you #WhoDatNation. Let’s make another run at it!” The future Hall of Fame quarterback is still playing at an extremely high level into his 40s, and we believe he will remain his usual pinpoint-accurate self in 2020. Brees and the Saints need to figure out a contract, but it should not be much of an issue—even if he hits free agency, he’ll be back in New Orleans.
