The Lions signed Paul Perkins to the practice squad.

Perkins was recently released, but he’s back with Detroit on the practice squad. The Lions have a committee backfield at the moment, and Perkins might work his way back onto the active roster and a game-day role soon; but he’s not a recommended fantasy hold at the moment.

Patrick Mahomes (knee) was officially limited in today’s practice.

Chiefs head coach Andy Reid says that Mahomes will do more in practice this week than last week, which is a positive sign. However, the expectation is that Mahomes will miss another game this weekend. Mahomes will likely remain limited all week, but we’ll keep you posted on his practice status tomorrow and Friday.

Aaron Jones (shoulder) is questionable to return against the Chiefs.

It’s unclear when Jones was hurt, but the Packers are officially saying he’s questionable to return to tonight’s game. There’s just over a minute to go in the first half, so hopefully Jones is able to get back on the field at the start of the second half. We’ll update you as more information becomes available on his status.

Alvin Kamara (knee/ankle) is officially questionable for Week 8.

Kamara was again limited in today’s practice, making it two consecutive practices to end the week after sitting out on Wednesday. We’d say the star running back is trending towards playing against the Cardinals, as the Saints have indicated that the upcoming Week 9 bye does not factor into their decision on whether or not to play someone. New Orleans kicks off at 1:00 PM ET on Sunday, so Kamara’s status will be known in the morning.

George Kittle has returned for the 49ers.

It seems Kittle did fortunately just suffer a hyperextension of some sort, and he is back out there after missing just a couple of plays. The All-Pro tight end is looking to have a big night against a Cardinals team giving up the most fantasy points to his position this season.

Adam Thielen (hamstring) was officially limited in today’s practice.

Thielen is expected to make his return in Week 9 after missing last Thursday’s game against the Redskins, but we’ll monitor his status over the next couple of days. A limited practice to start the week is a good sign.

Matt Breida (ankle) did not return for the 49ers.

San Francisco blew out Carolina, so it’s not surprising that Breida did not return. Before leaving, Breida had 11 carries for 35 yards and one reception for 15 yards. He’s toughed out ankle injuries in the past, so hopefully he doesn’t miss any more time with this one.
