Join now >The Dolphins waived Nick O’Leary.
O’Leary is being waived to make room for the waiver claim of cornerback Xavier Crawford. The Florida State product should not have much trouble finding a new team soon.

Rex Burkhead (foot) is officially active for Week 8.
Burkhead is back on the field after missing the last three games for the Patriots, and he’ll join a crowded backfield. The versatile veteran running back is not a highly recommended fantasy option against the Browns, but his presence will be a real-life boost for New England.

Malcolm Brown (ankle) officially did not practice today.
Brown remains out of practice for the Rams as he deals with his ankle injury. We’ll update you if Brown is able to return to practice tomorrow, but he’s looking doubtful for Week 8 at the moment.

The Patriots have released Josh Gordon, according to multiple reports.
Because this happened after the trade deadline, Gordon will now hit waivers. The former All-Pro receiver is apparently healthy now after getting released from injured reserve, and it’ll be very interesting which teams will be interested in bringing him in as a potential boost on offense. Waivers are inverse order of standings, but hopefully Gordon lands in a good situation considering his past off-field transgressions.

The Bengals are starting Ryan Finley at quarterback.
With the Bengals at 0-8, they are taking the bye week to make a quarterback change, benching veteran Andy Dalton for the fourth-round rookie Finley. This gives Finley half a season to show that he can be the team’s quarterback moving forward, but he’s in a tough spot playing behind one of the league’s worst offensive lines. Finley is not a highly recommended fantasy pickup, but he’s worth keeping an eye on for dynasty leagues.

Dede Westbrook (neck/shoulder) has been ruled out for the rest of today.
Westbrook entered the game with neck and shoulder injuries, and that’s what he’s being listed as having while being ruled out for the rest of this game versus the Jets. Westbrook did not have a catch before leaving.

Keenan Allen (hamstring) is officially active for Week 8.
Allen injured his hamstring in practice during the week, but he’s going to try to tough it out and is giving it a go today against the Bears. He’s expected to be limited and could have trouble finishing the game if the hamstring doesn’t respond well. He certainly has upside as a great player, but consider Allen more of a risky FLEX option as opposed to his usual status as an excellent fantasy option.
