Join now >Latavius Murray gets involved in Saints win.
With Alvin Kamara (18 touches, 66 yards) at less than 100% while dealing with an ankle injury, the Saints finally gave Murray more work in their offense in a Week 6 victory over the Jaguars. Murray carried eight times for 44 yards and caught three passes for 35 yards in the game, and he simply played better than a less-than-full-strength Kamara. Also, Murray had a touchdown reception that was called back on a holding call against Michael Thomas, and Thomas probably did not need to hold for Murray to score. The Saints might want to keep Murray, who has played well when he’s been given the opportunity this season, involved to keep Kamara fresh and healthy throughout the rest of the year. Just keep Murray in mind as a strong potential pickup if he’s available in your league.

The Buccaneers promoted Amara Darboh to the active roster.
Tampa Bay is currently on its bye week, but Darboh might get a crack at playing time on game days when they return to face the Titans in Week 8. Darboh was a third-round pick out of Michigan by the Seahawks in 2017, and he’s someone to keep an eye on in dynasty leagues in particular.

Hunter Henry (leg) was officially limited in today’s practice.
Henry was expected to miss four-to-six weeks with his tibia plateau fracture, and he’s right around that four-week mark. A limited practice to start this week is a good sign for his potential availability for Week 5, but Week 6 might be a more realistic return date for the 24-year-old tight end.

The Bills signed Ray-Ray McCloud to the practice squad.
McCloud was just drafted by Buffalo in the sixth-round in 2018, but he was waived at the end of this preseason ahead of final cuts and was then claimed by Carolina. The Bills probably wanted to keep the Clemson product, and now they’re able to stash him on the practice squad. McCloud will look to work his way back up to the active roster.

Adrian Peterson has throwback performance in Week 6.
Taking advantage of a matchup against a league-worst Dolphins team, the Redskins handed Peterson 25 touches in their 17-16 victory. Peterson carried 23 times for 118 yards and added two receptions for 18 yards in Washington’s Week 6 win. Throughout the week, both interim head coach Bill Callahan and Peterson himself indicated that this offense would be relying on the running game much more, and they let Peterson go to work in this one. The future Hall of Fame running back is set for a big role moving forward, but the matchups will get a lot tougher the next few weeks when the Redskins face the 49ers, Vikings, and Bills.

The Raiders are signing Darren Waller to a contract extension through the 2023 season, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
Waller was set to be a restricted free agent after this season, but the Raiders are locking him up long-term now to a deal that Pelissero says is worth $9 million per season after the restricted free agency deal expires (so basically after next season it will kick in). This is an awesome comeback for Waller, who battled drug issues, turned his life around, and is now cashing in on a big contract. Waller is currently enjoying a breakout season for the Raiders, with 37 receptions for 359 yards through five games—a pace of 118 receptions for 1,149 yards over 16 games. The bottom line is that Waller should be an excellent long-term tight end option in dynasty leagues as a focal point of Jon Gruden’s offense and a building block for the franchise as it makes the move from Oakland to Vegas. He’s already been a clear excellent TE1 in redraft leagues this season.

Sammy Watkins (hamstring) officially did not practice today.
This isn’t surprising after Watkins just injured his hamstring a few nights ago early in the game against the Colts. Watkins is probably on the doubtful side of things for Week 6, but we’ll track his practice status throughout the rest of the week.
