Hilliard is out of concussion protocol and will play this Sunday night versus the Rams. Outside of deeper PPR leagues, Nick Chubb is the only safe play in Cleveland’s backfield this week.

James Conner says he’s “confident” he will play in Week 3.
Conner said on 93.7 The Fan radio that there is nothing serious about his knee injury. This isn’t surprising, as—despite the fact that he did not return to yesterday’s game—Conner appeared to be moving around and in good spirits on the sideline, and he was reportedly without a limp in the locker room. The Steelers will be relying on Conner more moving forward with Ben Roethlisberger (elbow) done for the season, and he’s a prime buy-low candidate for owners that might be panicking after a slow start to the year and an injury to Pittsburgh’s starting quarterback.

Sam Darnold (mono) is targeting a Week 5 return.
Darnold is back in the Jets building and is feeling better, but he’s still not allowed to workout because of the risk associated with it. However, he said on ESPN’s The Michael Kay Show last night that “the goal is to be back against Philly in Week 5,” adding that it’s his goal and what the doctors are estimating. While Darnold won’t be cleared to practice or play until the doctors deem it completely safe for him, Week 5 looks like a realistic return date, and it’d be at a good time, as Darnold would only miss two games thanks to the Jets’ Week 4 bye.

The Buccaneers signed Amara Darboh to the practice squad.
The 2017 third-round pick from Michigan will work on the practice squad and will look to eventually carve out a role in Tampa Bay’s receiving corps. Darboh does not need to be owned in dynasty leagues right now.

Tyler Kroft (foot/ankle) has officially been ruled out for Week 3.
This was expected after Kroft injured his ankle in practice, but the good news is it’s thought to be an injury that won’t keep him out for much longer than this week. Still, it’s unfortunate Kroft won’t be able to make his Bills debut against his former Bengals team this Sunday.

The Steelers have promoted Devlin Hodges to the active roster.
He will be the team’s No. 2 quarterback behind Mason Rudolph with Ben Roethlisberger (elbow) done for the year. Pittsburgh traded Josh Dobbs to the Jaguars last week, but hopefully Hodges would be able to make a name for himself if forced into action at some point.

The Jets are signing David Fales, according to multiple reports.
Fales spent 2017 and 2018 with Adam Gase in Miami, so he has familiarity with his offense and can slide right into the backup role behind Luke Falk. Depending on how Falk performs, there’s a chance Fales gets playing time for the Jets, but he’s not a recommended fantasy option.
