Join now >Tyreek Hill went to the hospital for his shoulder injury.
Chiefs head coach Andy Reid says that Hill went to a local hospital to get his shoulder injury treated by their trauma department, so it sounds like the All-Pro receiver’s shoulder injury is pretty serious. Right now, the team isn’t sharing anything else about the extent of the injury or the timetable for Hill’s return, but more information should be available sometime tonight or tomorrow.

D.K. Metcalf (knee) says he’s 100%.
The rookie receiver says he’s ready to play as much as he’s asked in his NFL debut this Sunday. Metcalf had a knee procedure just over two weeks ago, so it almost doesn’t seem possible that he’s 100% already, but he’s obviously a freakish human. You can probably find a better option for your Week 1 fantasy lineup in standard-sized leagues, but Metcalf offers big-play upside against the Bengals. We’ll update you if he’s still listed on the final Week 1 injury report despite declaring that he’s 100%.

Duke Johnson operates in timeshare in Week 1.
Carlos Hyde started the Monday night matchup with the Saints, but Johnson worked about an even split and ended up with 13 touches compared to Hyde’s 11. Overall, Johnson had nine carries for 57 yards along with four receptions for 33 yards. Johnson did have a couple of apparent miscommunications as he gets acclimated to Houston’s offense, but he played well other than that. While there was some hope that Johnson would be close to a workhorse for the Texans, that doesn’t look like it’s going to happen with Hyde (83 rushing yards) carrying the ball effectively. Johnson is a better PPR option than standard/0.5, but he’s a FLEX option in both formats nonetheless.

Stefon Diggs (hamstring) was officially a limited participant in today’s practice.
Diggs did not practice yesterday, so he’s trending in the right direction for Sunday. We’ll let you know if Diggs is listed with a game designation when the final Week 1 injury report is released tomorrow.

Nick Foles has a broken left clavicle.
This is what it looked like when Foles was injured earlier today against the Chiefs. The injury is the second broken collarbone of Foles’ career (his first was suffered in 2014 with the Eagles), and it’s just extremely unfortunate for the former Super Bowl MVP’s first start with Jacksonville. Foles will be out several weeks with this injury, and sixth-round rookie Gardner Minshew will command the offense while Foles is out. Foles missing time is a downgrade for Leonard Fournette, but at least the bruising running back should be fed the ball as the clear foundation of their offense.

Sean McVay said that Todd Gurley will not be on a “pitch count” in Week 1.
This is obviously great news, and the matchup (in Carolina) is a bigger concern than Gurley’s health, especially early in the season when he should be fresh. While the Panthers are better attacked through the air, Gurley should be started with confidence until we have reason to change his outlook.

Carlos Hyde runs well in Texans’ Week 1 loss.
Hyde started the game for Houston over Duke Johnson, and he ran the better of the two, carrying ten times for 83 yards. The veteran running back also added one reception for two yards. Hyde looked explosive and ran hard all night, and it looked a bit like he might have been trying to prove the doubters wrong. There were no more goal line opportunities to get a look at, but we expect Hyde will be Houston’s preferred option there. Playing for one of the league’s better offenses, Hyde looks like he’ll at least have some FLEX appeal this season.
