Join now >The Rams have reached an agreement with Tyler Higbee on a four-year contract extension, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The deal will apparently make him one of the ten highest-paid tight ends in the league, so Los Angeles expects Higbee to remain a big part of their offense over the next few years. Perhaps this will mean the 26-year-old has an expanded receiving role, but the real-life value should exceed the fantasy value for Higbee, who will remain a desperation TE2 option that probably needs a score to be worth starting. Los Angeles has a chunk of their offensive core in place for multiple seasons, but the attention will likely turn to the offensive line next offseason.

Sterling Shepard is in concussion protocol.
Shepard reported symptoms of a concussion after yesterday’s game versus the Cowboys, and he does indeed have a concussion unfortunately. Hopefully Shepard is feeling better soon, but he’ll need to get fully cleared before he can play this Sunday against the Bills. If Shepard is out, that’d likely mean even more work for Evan Engram and Saquon Barkley.

Tyreek Hill (shoulder) has been ruled out for the Chiefs.
Hill was carted to the locker room with the shoulder injury earlier, and now he’s out for the rest of today’s game against the Jaguars. Sammy Watkins, who already has over 150 yards and two touchdowns, will now assume the role as Kansas City’s No. 1 wide receiver and could draw All-Pro cornerback Jalen Ramsey for the rest of the afternoon. We’ll see if we get an update on Hill’s exact injury later today.

D.K. Metcalf (knee) was officially limited in today’s practice.
Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll says they’ll “wait and see” how much Metcalf plays on Sunday, but a limited practice to start the week is a good start. Metcalf is expected to be ready to go as a starter to open the year, but we’ll keep you updated on his official status.

Tevin Coleman is dealing with a high-ankle sprain.
Coleman left Sunday’s game after eight touches, and he will almost certainly be out until October. Fortunately, the 49ers have a Week 4 bye, so Coleman will ideally miss just two games before returning in Week 5, but an absence until mid-to-late October is also a possibility. In the interim, Matt Breida will start and is a locked-in RB2 option, while Raheem Mostert is worth considering as a big-play dart throw in deeper leagues.

Stefon Diggs (hamstring) officially did not practice today.
It’s only Wednesday, so hopefully this is just a precaution, but Diggs has dealt with some soft tissue injuries in the past. His status is at least worth monitoring the next couple of days.
9/4/19 - 04:50 PM ET
Albert Wilson (calf) is questionable to return for the Dolphins.
Miami is getting destroyed by the Ravens, so don’t be surprised if they play it safe with Wilson, who is also coming off a season-ending foot injury from last year.
