Join now >Bruce Arians again says he thinks Chris Godwin will be a 100-catch guy.
The Bucs head coach was asked whether his impression of Godwin has changed after OTAs, and he responded: “It really hasn’t. I had high expectations and they’re even higher now. So, he hasn’t done anything to diminish what I thought he would be and as he learns to play in that slot and read things a little bit more—he’s made great progress. I think I’ll stand by my 100-catch announcement.” Clearly, Arians is really high on Godwin, and the third-year receiver looks to have an excellent chance to hit the century-mark in receptions in 2019. Godwin’s ADP shouldn’t get too out of control, and he’ll likely be one of the best fantasy selections in drafts late this summer.

The NFL has suspended Chad Kelly two games.
Kelly is being suspended for violating the league’s personal conduct policy from when he drunkenly wandered into a random person’s home while he was with the Broncos. This doesn’t help Kelly as he looks to make the Colts roster this summer, but Indy probably expected a suspension would be coming.

Aaron Jones has given up junk food.
Jones says it was hard because he’s “big into candy,” but he gave up junk food like candy, chips, and cookies this offseason, which helped his body fat drop from 11 percent to 5.3 percent. Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers noted that Jones looks “pretty lean this year” after previously teasing the running back about being “the most athletic, fast guy with a little bit of a belly.” This commitment to a healthy diet could help Jones stay healthier this year after missing games in each of his first two NFL seasons, and he might be even more explosive after averaging 5.5 yards per carry in each of those campaigns. Running back looks really deep this season, but Jones will offer high upside in the early parts of 2019 fantasy drafts.

Cam Newton has begun throwing the football, according to Jourdan Rodrigue of the Charlotte Observer.
The hope was that Newton would be able to throw before training camp this summer, so the fact that he’s throwing before the calendar turns to June is a great sign. Newton is fully expected to be 100% by the time training camp begins, and fantasy owners should feel confident in his shoulder this season, barring a setback before the regular season.

The Jaguars have officially signed Terrelle Pryor to a one-year deal.
This was reportedly going to happen after Pryor worked out for the team yesterday, and now it’s official. Pryor was with new Jaguars offensive coordinator John DeFilippo in Cleveland, so there’s familiarity there. Jacksonville has several options at receiver and will be looking for guys to step up and earn starting roles, and there’s a chance Pryor becomes a go-to guy for Nick Foles on the outside. Foles likes giving his receivers opportunities to make plays, and Pryor has a huge frame with long arms. The former Ohio State quarterback will have to make the team first, but he could deliver solid 2019 fantasy value if he works his way into a nice role with the Jags.

David Johnson says the Cardinals want to run “90 or 95 plays a game.”
Johnson says he needs to be conditioned, which is obvious if he expects to be on the field for a good number of plays in Kliff Kingsbury’s offense, and Johnson also added that he thinks the offense will be “similar to 2016.” During that 2016 season, Johnson was one of the best players in the league, rushing for 1,239 yards and 16 touchdowns along with 80 receptions for 879 receiving yards and three receiving touchdowns—carrying many fantasy owners to titles. DJ also thinks he’ll be utilized as both a runner and a receiver and that most of the offense will be in the shotgun formation; after Johnson appeared to be run up the middle far too often for a poor offense last season, he will absolutely be used more out in space in 2019. The biggest takeaway from Johnson is that the he said Arizona wants 90-95 plays per game, as that is an astronomical number (for reference, Chip Kelly’s explosive Eagles teams topped out at 70.7 plays per game in 2014). If the Cardinals can actually get close to 90 plays per game, there’ll be plenty of fantasy points that’ll be scored by Johnson, Kyler Murray, and company. After seeing Johnson’s floor as a low-end RB1 last season, he has obvious top-five upside and should be one of the better early-round picks in fantasy drafts this summer.

Ravens owner Steve Biscotty says Lamar Jackson will not run the ball 20 times per game in 2019.
According to ESPN, in a call with season ticket holders, Biscotty said, “I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised that Lamar is not going to be running 20 times a game. That’s not what this offense is about.” Because the former Heisman Trophy winner is such a good weapon as a runner—and has some work to do as a passer—there’s thought that he’ll be running the ball a lot this season in new offensive coordinator Greg Roman’s offense. It’s not a huge surprise Biscotty doesn’t expect Jackson to run 20 times per game, but we could certainly see him in the 10-15 range—overall, Jackson’s running ability should make him a fantasy QB1 in 2019. Baltimore’s offense is going to be interesting this season, as there’s a ton of speed complementing a power-run element with Mark Ingram and Gus Edwards.
