He also rushed once for five yards. The veteran slot receiver has seen his role decrease with Curtis Samuel (4/80) and D.J. Moore (5/67) both emerging, so he won’t be a recommended fantasy option next week against the Saints.

Christian McCaffrey scores twice in loss to the Browns.
McCaffrey rushed 16 times for 63 yards and two touchdowns, also adding six receptions (on seven targets) for 38 yards. The Stanford product scored on two of the team’s first three possessions, but once again, they didn’t give him close to enough work in a tight game against a beatable Cleveland run defense. From a fantasy perspective, McCaffrey has been phenomenal, though, and he will hopefully handle 25-30 touches as an elite RB1 option next week against the Saints.

Drew Brees scores twice in Saints’ Week 14 win.
Brees was 24/31 for 201 yards, one touchdown, and one interception along with a rushing touchdown on a quarterback sneak against the Buccaneers. He also lost a fumble. The Saints started slow with three first-half points, but they turned it on in the second half, including 17 fourth-quarter points in their 28-14 victory. Brees’ passing score came on a play-action pass to fullback Zach Line for one yard at the goal line. The interception came on a screen pass, so it was more of a great play by the defense than a bad decision by Brees. The future Hall of Famer has had a disappointing couple of weeks from a fantasy perspective, but he’ll look to have a big game next Monday night against the Panthers.

Taylor Heinicke completes 33-yard pass in Week 14 loss.
It was his only pass of the game, but Heinicke continues to see action due to Cam Newton’s shoulder injury. The No. 2 in Carolina might find his way into he starting lineup at some point to close out the year if Cam is eventually shut down, but he wouldn’t be a recommended fantasy option.

Cam Newton struggles again as Carolina drops fifth game in a row.
Newton was 26/42 for 265 yards, zero touchdowns, and one interception, also adding five carries for 23 yards. Carolina had a chance to drive for the game-winning touchdown in the fourth quarter, but things were over before they got started as Cam turned it over on the first play of the possession. Newton is dealing with shoulder issues, but his play has fallen off a cliff—he’s thrown eight picks during the team’s 0-5 stretch—by consistently missing open receivers. Carolina could find their season on the line next Monday night against the 11-2 Saints, and Newton can’t be viewed as a high-end, high-upside QB1.

Deonte Thompson catches one pass against the Jets.
Thompson gained 14 yards on his lone reception in the Bills’ Week 14 loss. Thompson is a better real-life contributor than fantasy asset at the moment.
12/10/18 - 08:38 AM ET
Robert Foster goes over 100 yards in Bills’ loss.
Foster caught seven passes (on eight targets) for 104 yards against the Jets. The undrafted rookie receiver now already has his second 100-yard receiving game since getting regular playing time the last four weeks, and he also has a 94-yard game in that span. Foster should be owned in all dynasty leagues, and he’s worth a look as a pickup in redraft leagues, particularly deeper ones.
