Kendall Wright | Cardinals WR

The Cardinals signed wide receiver Kendall Wright.

Wright was with the Cardinals in early October, then he was released later in the month, but now he’s back with the team. The veteran receiver is not a recommended fantasy pickup at the moment.

Deshaun Watson | Browns QB

Deshaun Watson, Texans win sixth game in a row.

Watson was 17/24 for 213 yards, two touchdowns, and zero interceptions, also adding six carries for 38 yards in a 19-17 victory over Denver. The Texans were fortunate to escape with the win after Brandon McManus missed what turned out to be a 51-yard field goal (thanks to poor clock management) as time expired, but Watson played well in a tough environment, connecting with Jordan Thomas (seven yards) and DeAndre Hopkins (16 yards) for scores. Houston heads into the bye at 6-3 with a commanding lead in the AFC South, and Watson will be a solid QB1 option when they return to face the Redskins.

A.J. Green | Retired WR

A.J. Green (toe) is expected to miss at least two games, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The good news is Green doesn’t need surgery, which likely would have knocked him out for the season, but he could still miss a long period of time with this toe injury. Assuming he does miss two games, it’ll be against the Saints this Sunday and the Ravens in two Sundays, which is obviously a huge blow to the Bengals. Tyler Boyd will step up as Andy Dalton’s number one receiver, but Joe Mixon might ultimately see an even bigger workload moving forward with Green out. Hopefully Green misses just two games, but fantasy owners should probably be happy if he’s able to return for start of the fantasy playoffs or a game before then so he can get back into the swing of things.

Julian Edelman | Retired WR

Julian Edelman does it all in Week 9.

Edelman worked as a passer, runner, and receiver against the Packers, going 1/1 for 37 yards, rushing twice for 28 yards, and catching six passes for 71 yards. The pass was on a double-pass trick play where Edelman threw it across the field to James White on a screen pass that nearly went the distance. Overall, it was another strong game for the veteran receiver, who remains a high-floor option against the Titans in Week 10.

Russell Wilson | Giants QB

Russell Wilson throws two touchdowns in Seahawks’ loss.

Wilson was 26/39 for 235 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception along with five carries for 41 yards versus the Chargers. LA put a lot of pressure on Wilson, who was sacked four times in the game. The touchdowns were on a couple of thread-the-needle balls in the end zone to Jaron Brown and Nick Vannett, and the interception was a pick-six on a play where impressive second-year cornerback Desmond King undercut a route from the slot and took it 42 yards to the house. At the end of the game, Wilson nearly led the Seahawks on a touchdown drive that would have given them a chance to tie the game with a two-point conversion, but a pass to the end zone was slightly deflected and made it tough for David Moore to come up with. Through eight games, last year’s No. 1 fantasy quarterback is on pace for 3,582 passing yards, 36 passing touchdowns, ten interceptions, 48 carries (which would be by far a career-low) 236 rushing yards, and no rushing touchdowns. If the rushing production picks up in the second half, Wilson would become a stronger QB1 option in fantasy lineups, but he’s still putting up great numbers for fantasy owners.

11/5/18 - 12:05 PM ET

Philip Rivers | Retired QB

Philip Rivers throws two touchdowns in Chargers’ Week 9 win.

Rivers was 13/26 for 228 yards and two touchdowns against the Seahawks, with the touchdowns going to Tyrell Williams and Mike Williams. The completion percentage wasn’t up to Rivers’ usual standards, but he played well and picked up chunk yardage throughout the game. At the halfway point in the season, Rivers is on pace for 4,472 yards, 38 touchdowns, and three interceptions in what’s arguably been the best season of his exceptional career to this point. Rivers is a legit MVP candidate and will be a strong QB1 option when the Chargers face the Raiders in Week 10.

11/5/18 - 11:42 AM ET

Paul Richardson | Free Agent WR

Paul Richardson (shoulder) is out for the season, head coach Jay Gruden has announced.

Richardson had been dealing with a shoulder issue and other injuries all season, but Gruden said he will get surgery and miss the remainder of the year. It’s a big blow to a Redskins offense that already lacked playmakers on the outside, so the team will count on Josh Doctson, Maurice Harris, and others to step up. Signed to a five-year, $40-million contract in the spring, Richardson finishes his first season in Washington with 20 receptions for 262 yards and two touchdowns. He should be healthy ahead of training camp.
