Seeing extended playing time in the fourth quarter with the Bengals down 35 points, Core caught three-of-three targets for 30 yards. The former sixth-round pick isn’t a recommended fantasy option heading into a matchup with the Bucs.

A.J. Green gets fed targets, but Bengals fall to the Chiefs, 45-10.
Green caught seven-of-14 targets for 117 yards, doing most of his damage early on before Kansas City sent more coverage his way. It was a home-run spot for the star receiver against a small cornerback group, but Andy Dalton locking onto Green ended up hurting the offense as a whole, and they barely played in the fourth quarter. Creating a more balanced attack should help things open up next Sunday against the Buccaneers, who like the Chiefs, have shorter corners that shouldn’t be able to stick with Green. He’s a top-five play.

Mark Walton rushed four times for ten yards in Sunday’s loss to the Chiefs.
Walton saw most of his work with the game in hand, as he basically saw the field when Joe Mixon needed a breather. Also, the rookie didn’t help his case for more change-of-pace touches by showing poor effort on an early pass-blocking opportunity, so he’s not a recommended fantasy option behind Mixon heading into a matchup with the Bucs.

Joe Mixon handles just 13 carries as Cincinnati gets destroyed by Kansas City, 45-10.
Mixon rushed 13 times for 50 yards, also adding three receptions for one yard. Positively, the Oklahoma product looked good when he did get the ball, and his five targets trailed just A.J. Green, but Mixon didn’t get the usage he should have against a poor-tackling defense, and his impact in the passing game came on swing passes that saw him basically be blown up in the backfield. The Bengals would be wise to string some carries together for Mixon and get him the ball in more creative ways as a receiver next week against Tampa Bay. He remains a no-doubt RB1 in all formats.

Jeff Driskel gets mop-up duty as the Bengals lose to the Chiefs, 45-10.
Driskel completed four-of-four passes for 39 yards, also adding a five-yard rush. Barring a complete meltdown by Cincinnati’s offense, the former Florida quarterback will only see the field for an extended period of time in the case of an injury to Andy Dalton.
10/22/18 - 12:56 PM ET
Andy Dalton, Bengals get blown out in primetime matchup with the Chiefs, 45-10.
Dalton was 15/29 for 148 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. The game seemed to be in hand by the middle of the first quarter after just two possessions, as Cincinnati went three-and-out followed by Kansas City quickly finding the end zone; Dalton was able to find C.J. Uzomah in the second quarter for a red-zone score, but the Bengals were never able to recover from a 24-7 halftime deficit. Despite the promising spot for Cincy’s passing attack, Dalton not showing up (particularly in primetime) is always something fantasy owners need to consider, and he seemed to lock onto A.J. Green far too often after some success early on. The 30-year-old gets another great matchup in Week 8 against the Bucs, but it’s hard to view him as anything more than a low-end QB1.

Vernon Davis doesn’t catch a pass in Week 7.
Davis continued to get time at tight end along with Jordan Reed, but he didn’t catch a pass against the Cowboys. The veteran tight end will look to get on the board with a reception next week against the Giants.
