Manning was 27/38 for 399 yards and one touchdown along with three carries for seven yards in the Week 7 Monday night loss to the Falcons. Atlanta got pressure on Manning throughout the game (including four sacks), which has been a common theme for the Giants, but the veteran quarterback played well and got the ball out to his weapons. The touchdown didn’t come until there were five seconds remaining, though, with Manning hitting Odell Beckham Jr. on a dime to the back of the end zone. Before the score, Manning attempted a couple of quarterback sneaks but was unable to get in for six, which wasted a lot of time with the Giants having no timeouts. Manning has a difficult matchup next week against the Redskins, so he’s not a recommended fantasy option for Week 8.

Keke Coutee (hamstring) was listed as limited for today’s practice.
The Texans participated in just a walkthrough the day after just playing a game, so this is a projection of how Coutee would have practiced if it was an actual practice. This indicates the rookie receiver might have a chance to play on Thursday night, but we’ll monitor his practice status the next two days.

Russell Shepard (neck) is inactive against the Falcons.
Shepard was limited in practice during the week, so he could be close to a return. Bennie Fowler will be the Giants’ third receiver along with Odell Beckham Jr. and Sterling Shepard tonight.

The Raiders have placed Marshawn Lynch (groin) on injured reserve.
Lynch is dealing with a serious groin injury that was set to knock him out at least one month, and the Raiders have opted to place him on injured reserve. There’s a chance Lynch can come back as a designated-to-return players after eight weeks, but that’s almost certainly not going to happen. Lynch’s season ends with 90 carries for 376 yards and three touchdowns along with 15 receptions for 84 yards. This is Lynch’s final season under contract for the Raiders, so there’s a chance we’ve seen the 10,000-yard rusher play his final snap in the NFL.

Le’Veon Bell is not reporting to the Steelers this week, according to NFL Network.
This isn’t a surprise considering Bell did not report to the team today despite earlier reports stating he would arrive in this Week 7-8 timeframe. Until he actually reports to the team, the Bell situation isn’t even worth considering. James Conner is leading Pittsburgh’s backfield and remains a high-end RB1 option in fantasy leagues.

The Cowboys have released Brice Butler.
This move is being made to make room for new acquisition Amari Cooper. Butler is a big-play receiver that didn’t receive opportunities on offense in his second go around with the Cowboys. Other teams should be interested in the 28-year-old.

The Jaguars have released Jamaal Charles.
This isn’t a surprise considering the team just acquired Carlos Hyde last week. The veteran running back will look to land with another team at some point, but there’s a chance the Chiefs great has played his last down in the NFL.
