Chris Thompson scores in Week 7.

Thompson had another really solid game on Monday night, carrying seven times for 38 yards and catching five passes for 26 yards and a touchdown. He continued to be a very good weapon for the Redskins out of the backfield, and Washington really has no choice but to get him the ball so he can make plays for them. Thompson will be a very good PPR option next week, and he’ll be in the FLEX conversation for standard leagues.

C.J. Prosise (ankle) is active for the Seahawks.

Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said he expected his second-year running back to return this week, and he’s officially in the lineup against the Giants. Even with Prosise active, J.D. McKissic is still active for Seattle. It’s hard to predict how the backfield carries will be split for the Seahawks, but Thomas Rawls and Eddie Lacy are likely to get most of the carries with Prosise and McKissic handling most of the passing down work. Perhaps Prosise could emerge as a three-down guy for them as he did last year against New England, but it’s difficult to trust him in his first game back.

Mike Williams catches one pass in Week 8.

Williams gained seven yards on his lone reception against New England, and he almost had a chance at a long reception on a third-down where Philip Rivers chucked one down the field and gave the big receiver a chance in a jump ball situation with a few guys around him. It wasn’t an easy catch for Williams, but it basically went off his hands and is probably a play he’ll make as he gets more comfortable in the NFL (and remember, he didn’t have a training camp or preseason). Maybe the Chargers will get their first-round pick more involved after their bye, but Williams doesn’t need to be on fantasy rosters right now.

Taylor Gabriel caught two passes for 24 yards in Sunday’s loss to the Patriots.

He also rushed once for negative-five yards on a questionable reserve at the goal line. Gabriel is back to the third receiver with Mohamed Sanu’s return, so he isn’t worth holding onto in fantasy leagues, especially with Atlanta struggling.

Logan Thomas catches one pass in Week 8 win.

It went for seven yards. The converted quarterback was grieving the loss of his baby daughter earlier in the week, but he was out there on Sunday for his teammates, which seems to be a close-knit group of guys. Thomas received a game ball after the victory for the 5-2 Bills. They will face they Jets on Thursday night.

Giants fall to 1-6 after loss to Seattle.

The offense couldn’t get much going against the Seahawks, who were coming off their bye, in the Week 7 loss. Eli Manning was 19/39 for 134 yards, a touchdown, and a lost fumble, with the score coming on a nice throw on the run to rookie tight end Evan Engram in the end zone. This conservative approach by Manning is the right thing to do while the team relies on the defense to help carry them to victories, but it severely limits Manning’s fantasy value.

Raiders lose to Bills and drop to 3-5.

After a touchdown on their opening drive, the Raiders couldn’t get much of anything going against the Bills. Derek Carr was 31/49 for 313 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions. It was pretty much just an ugly game for Oakland, and Carr now has as many interceptions (six) in seven games as he did all of last season. The Raiders face the Dolphins on Sunday night in Week 9, and if you’re playing Carr you need to hope he’ll have a performance closer to the one he had against the Chiefs on Thursday night in Week 7.
