Ryquell Armstead is expected to be out for the rest of the season.

Armstead was placed on the COVID-19 list multiple times during the summer, which was a major surprise, and ESPN reports that the second-year running back has had complications due to the coronavirus. You obviously hate to hear this, and hopefully Armstead is feeling better soon. James Robinson has seized the lead role in the Jaguars backfield this season.

John Ross (illness) has been ruled out for Week 7.

Ross fully participated on practice Wednesday and Thursday before being out on Friday, so this isn’t a surprise with how illnesses have been handled in 2020. As expected, A.J. Green, Tyler Boyd, and Tee Higgins will handle most of the work at receiver versus Cleveland.

Jordan Akins (concussion) ruled out for Week 7.

Akins will miss the second game in a row, so veteran Darren Fells is worth again starting as a streaming option for a potential shootout against the Packers.

Jamison Crowder (groin) is officially inactive for the Jets.

Crowder was downgraded to doubtful yesterday, so this was fully expected. Crowder has been productive when he’s been on the field, but this will be his third missed game this season.

Aaron Jones (calf) is officially inactive for Week 7.

Jones’ injury popped up late during the week of practice, and the Packers are probably making the decision to hold the star running back out so that the injury isn’t made worse. The calf issue is reportedly “very minor”, so this shouldn’t be a lengthy absence for Jones—he probably has a pretty good shot to return next week. Jamaal Williams and second-round rookie A.J. Dillon will lead the Green Bay backfield today versus Houston.

Bo Scarbrough (leg) has been activated from IR.

Scarbrough being up on game day would add yet another factor into the Detroit backfield, but fantasy owners should consider D’Andre Swift and Adrian Peterson RB2/FLEX options regardless.

The Jets have downgraded Jamison Crowder (groin) to doubtful for Week 7.

Crowder will likely be sidelined, which is unfortunate because he had a great matchup against a Buffalo defense that he’s had a ton of success versus. Look for second-round pick Denzel Mims to have an immediate role in his career debut.
