Join now >The Seahawks claimed Danny Etling, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Etling is an interesting addition for Seattle, and his dual-threat skillset could potentially allow him to push Geno Smith for backup duties behind Russell Wilson. The former LSU quarterback was drafted by the Patriots in the seventh round of the 2018 NFL Draft.

Nick Chubb is in the concussion protocol.
Chubb apparently took a big hit yesterday at practice, but hopefully he can clear the protocol quickly and practice again with his team. Because of his talent and fit in Kevin Stefanski’s system, some missed time in camp shouldn’t be a significant concern for fantasy owners targeting Chubb in the first or second round of drafts.

Jace Sternberger has been activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list.
This is good timing for Sternberger as teams begin practicing in full pads. The second-year tight end is looking to win the starting gig in Green Bay’s offense, but he’ll open the year as just a TE2 option for fantasy purposes.

The Patriots signed Alex Ellis.
Ellis was waived by Philadelphia earlier this offseason, but he’ll now look to crack the 53-man roster for a Patriots team that’ll have a new-look offense without Tom Brady under center. Ellis has been with a handful of teams throughout his career since going undrafted in 2016.

The Patriots signed Paul Butler.
New England has a bunch of options at tight end this season, and Butler will try to work his way onto the final roster in a few weeks. Butler is not a recommended fantasy selection at the moment.

The Falcons released Danny Etling.
The 2018 seventh-round pick of the Patriots is a versatile player that shouldn’t have much trouble finding a new landing spot even with COVID-19 having an impact on signings. Atlanta is going with Matt Schaub and Kurt Benkert behind Matt Ryan at quarterback for now.

The Bengals waived Rodney Anderson after a failed physical.
Anderson flashed big-time talent at Oklahoma, but he just hasn’t been able to get healthy, and Cincinnati is now moving forward with other options on the depth chart behind Joe Mixon and Giovani Bernard. This move should lock Trayveon Williams in as a dynasty stash and potential handcuff to Mixon. As for Anderson, we’ll see if he can get cleared and find an opportunity elsewhere.
