Vyncint Smith | Free Agent WR

Vincent Smith (core muscle) is expected to undergo surgery on Tuesday, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

The injury will reportedly knock Smith out for at least a month, so the Jets will open the season without one of their only returning pass-catchers from a season ago. Breshad Perriman and Jamison Crowder are locked in as the top two receivers for New York, and rookie Denzel Mims should have the inside track for the No. 3 job if he can get past his current hamstring injury.

A.J. Green | Retired WR

A.J. Green is dealing with a hamstring issue.

Green missed practice and it’s said to be “precautionary”, but it’s still an injury worth noting given the Pro Bowl receiver’s recent durability issues. Hopefully Green is just a bit sore while he gets back into the swing of things, as he hasn’t been on the field for game action since the 2018 season.

Jalen Hurd | Retired WR

Jalen Hurd believed to have suffered serious knee injury.

NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo says the 49ers fear a torn ACL for Hurd, but he’s undergoing an MRI this morning after suffering the injury during yesterday’s practice. We just have to hope for the best, but this sounds like incredibly tough news for Hurd after his rookie season was wiped out by a back issue. More information should become available sometime today.

Corey Davis | Free Agent WR

The Titans have taken Corey Davis off the PUP list.

Davis passed his physical and is ready to join his teammates on the field after working off to the side to begin training camp. This is good timing for Davis, as the Titans are getting into pads for the first time this summer as they ramp up toward Week 1.

Jonathan Williams | Free Agent RB

The Lions signed Jonathan Williams.

Williams provides strong depth in the Detroit backfield, which was already a deep group. From a fantasy perspective, Williams is off the radar for now, but perhaps things will change if he makes the final roster.

Josh Oliver | Vikings TE

Josh Oliver broke a bone in his foot.

It’s a tough break for the No. 69 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, as he appeared in just four games as a rookie due to injuries and will now again be facing an extended absence entering his second season. With the 23-year-old out of the lineup, Tyler Eifert will be locked in as the team’s starter and should carry some touchdown upside in Jay Gruden’s offense.

Marcus Green | Eagles WR

The Eagles have signed Marcus Green.

Green is joining the team as depth at receiver and will look to impress in practice to potentially make the roster. That said, it will be an uphill battle after Philadelphia drafted multiple receivers earlier this year.
