Join now >The Eagles have placed Alshon Jeffery (foot) on the Active/PUP list.
Jeffery is not expected to be healthy for the regular season opener, and he will be a candidate to be placed on the regular season PUP list—which would keep him out for the first six games. 2019 second-round pick J.J. Arcega-Whiteside should have a good opportunity to earn a starting job alongside DeSean Jackson and rookie Jalen Reagor.

The Bills have placed Tommy Sweeney (foot) on the Active/PUP list.
This is different than the regular season PUP list that would keep a player out for the first six games, so Sweeney might not be too much behind the eight ball with training camp watered down for everyone. He will look to get cleared at some point next month.

Dalvin Cook reportedly reports on time to training camp.
ESPN’s Courtney Cronin says that Cook reported to camp to get his first COVID-19 test, so it sounds like the holdout is not to be despite Cook’s agent insisting that his client had not said that he would show up for camp. Again, Cook has basically no leverage thanks to the new CBA passed earlier this year. Now Cook will just have to hope the Vikings give him a new deal soon. Barring something unforeseen, you can lock Cook in as a first-round selection in all fantasy drafts.

Marquise Goodwin is opting out of the 2020 season, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
The Eagles acquired Goodwin from the 49ers during this year’s draft, but the track-speed receiver will not suit up for the team this season. Goodwin and his wife have a five-month-old daughter at home, and the couple has openly talked about their struggles through three miscarriages. Goodwin is doing what’s best for his family. His contract will toll over to next season, when he’ll be 30 years old.

James Conner is playing this season, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
It’s understandable if any player wants to opt out of this upcoming season due to COVID-19 concerns, and it would be especially understandable if a cancer survivor like Conner wanted to. However, Pelissero says that Conner is playing and “in phenomenal shape entering a big season.” This is noteworthy, as Conner is a big-name player that easily could have opted out of the 2020 season, and the Steelers just added another running back to the mix in Wendell Smallwood—but Conner is indeed ready to roll in a contract year.

The Steelers signed Wendell Smallwood.
Smallwood was with Washington last season, and the former fifth-round pick of the Eagles returns to Pennsylvania to join the Steelers. Pittsburgh is already deep at running back, but Smallwood will look to win a spot on the roster during training camp.

Stephen Guidry is opting out of the 2020 season, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
An undrafted free agent out of Mississippi State, Guidry will hope to make a roster next summer. So far, no big-name offensive players have opted out, but we’ll see if that changes in the coming days.
