Join now >Nick O’Leary plans to play football in 2021.
O’Leary actually underwent heart surgery last month, having an angioplasty to reduce a 100 percent blockage of an artery. This explains why the Raiders placed O’Leary on the NFI/reserve list last month. Thankfully, O’Leary told the Palm Beach Post that he feels “good” and plans to play football again. The former Florida State star will turn just 28 this August, and he shouldn’t have much trouble getting an opportunity next year assuming he’s cleared by doctors. We wish O’Leary the best of luck as he looks to recover and get back on the field.

The Dolphins waived Michael Roberts.
Roberts is being waived with a non-football injury. The big tight end has struggled with health over the past couple of years, and he did not appear in any games last season.

Dak Prescott has officially signed his exclusive franchise tender.
This was fully expected, and Prescott will now be paid over $31 million this season on the tag if he and the Cowboys don’t agree to a long-term deal by July 15. At this point, an extension seems highly unlikely, so it will be interesting to see how Dak plays in 2020—and how long this saga might drag on.

De’Anthony Thomas is voluntarily opting out of the 2020 season.
Thomas spent time with both the Ravens and Chiefs last season, but he will spend this year on the reserve list. It will be interesting to see if any big-time star players decide not to play in 2020, which would certainly derail some early drafters.

Dak Prescott plans to sign his franchise tender soon.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter says Prescott is expected to sign the one-year $31.4 million exclusive tender “by Monday.” This action would ensure that Dak must play for the Cowboys in 2020, whether on this one-year tag or on a long-term extension. The two sides have until July 15 to agree to a long-term deal, but there should not be any drama in terms of a holdout this summer if Prescott and the team don’t get something done by then.

Derrius Guice has been cleared for the start of training camp.
Guice has dealt with multiple knee injuries since entering the league, but it’s good to hear that he’s ready to go for the start of camp after landing on injured reserve again last December. The third-year running back is very talented, and he’ll look to stay healthy and put it all together for a new Washington Football Team coaching staff this season.

Colby Parkinson broke his foot and recently had surgery, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Parkinson suffered the injury on June 2 while running routes, and he’s now rehabbing the injury. The fourth-round rookie is joining a very crowded tight end room in Seattle, so the missed time could be costly for him as he looks to earn a role in 2020. Veteran Greg Olsen is probably locked in as the Seahawks’ starter with Will Dissly (patellar) primed to see the field if he’s healthy. For dynasty owners, Parkinson has the profile to be a red zone threat at six-foot-seven.
