Join now >Josh Jacobs keys Raiders’ Week 5 win over the Bears.
Jacobs, who was selected in the first round with one of the draft picks Oakland got from Chicago in the Khalil Mack trade, surprisingly had the best game of his young career versus the tough Bears defense, carrying 26 times for 123 yards and two touchdowns while adding three receptions for 20 yards in the London game victory. Jon Gruden decided giving Jacobs a heavy workload was the best path to a win, and it paid off, as the Alabama product consistently picked up positive yardage to help keep the Raiders in favorable positions on offense. Oakland now has a bye week, but Jacobs looks like he’ll be getting a lot of work moving forward and could be a clear RB1 for the rest of the season after relatively down performances the last few weeks.

Jamaal Williams (concussion) remains out of practice.
We’ll see if Williams can get on the practice field on at least a limited basis tomorrow, but he’s looking doubtful for Sunday’s game against the Cowboys. Williams needs to clear concussion protocol after his concussion suffered one week ago.

The Giants signed Javorius Allen.
Allen has been a free agent this season, but he’s shown he can be a productive player and will have a chance to stick around as New York’s No. 3 back behind Saquon Barkley and Wayne Gallman. If he ends up drawing the start in Week 7, Allen would be a FLEX option.

The Bills promoted Duke Williams from the practice squad.
Williams is 26 years old and was signed by Buffalo in the offseason a year after leading the CFL in receiving with 1,579 yards (on 88 receptions with 11 touchdowns) for Edmonton. The Auburn product flashed major ability this preseason, and now he’s getting a chance on the active roster. Williams is a player to keep an eye on in dynasty leagues in particular.

Lamar Jackson struggles against the Steelers.
Jackson was 19/28 for 161 yards, one touchdown, and three interceptions along with 14 carries for 70 yards in Baltimore’s 26-23 overtime win at Pittsburgh. The Steelers have one of the league’s better defenses and a fast group that put pressure on Jackson, but the former Heisman Trophy winner struggled to get much going through the air, and he now has five interceptions in the last two games after not throwing an interception through the first three games this season. Jackson was the No. 1 fantasy scorer through the first quarter of the season, but he had just 11.4 standard fantasy points in the Week 5 victory. The good news for Jackson is that he next faces a Bengals team that just allowed a big performance by Kyler Murray, and it should be a game he bounces back with a strong outing.
10/7/19 - 08:15 AM ET
Terry McLaurin (hamstring) was officially limited in today’s practice.
It’d be a great sign if McLaurin can get up to a full practice tomorrow, but his Week 5 status looks 50/50 at this point. The Redskins aren’t going to rush the rookie receiver back from this injury, as it could cause it to worsen. The final injury report for the week will be released tomorrow.
10/3/19 - 04:20 PM ET
George Kittle (groin) is listed as questionable for Week 6.
Head coach Kyle Shanahan says that Kittle is expected to play, but fantasy owners would be wise to at least have a backup plan in mind should he be a surprise inactive for the late afternoon game. Assuming he plays, Kittle is a clear top-two option along with Travis Kelce.
