Russell Gage leaves preseason game with apparent hip injury.

Gage attempted to pull in a back-shoulder pass deep down the field and unfortunately came down wrong and appears to have been injured pretty badly. After staying on the ground for a few minutes, Gage needed a lot of help to get over to the sideline and then on a cart and into the locker room. This doesn’t look good, but hopefully it’s not as bad as it looks and Gage doesn’t miss much time with this injury.

The Seahawks signed J.T. Barrett.

The former prolific Ohio State quarterback lands in a great spot with the Seahawks, and he should at least get a chance to play and put some play on film in the team’s second preseason game while Geno Smith is out with a knee issue. Barrett is at a disadvantage joining Seattle in middle of the preseason, but he’ll look to win a roster spot this summer.

Terrelle Pryor (hamstring) is questionable to return to tonight’s game.

This was announced as the second half of Jacksonville’s preseason game against Miami begins, and don’t expect the big receiver to return. Pryor is fighting for a roster spot for the Jags, so this isn’t ideal. Hopefully the injury doesn’t keep him out for long.

Josh Johnson is signing with the Lions, according to Mike Garafolo.

Johnson had a chance to sign with the Ravens recently, but he decided to wait for a better opportunity, and it looks like he got it in Detroit—where he should be considered the favorite to backup Matthew Stafford. The veteran provided solid play for the Redskins at the end of last season.

Alfred Blue (ankle) is out for the rest of tonight’s preseason game.

Blue was initially called questionable to return, but he’s now been ruled out, which was fully expected during a preseason game. Now we just have to hope Blue’s injury doesn’t keep him out much longer than tonight. Thomas Rawls and rookie Ryquell Armstead will get more reps during Blue’s absence.

The Jaguars signed Quadree Henderson.

Henderson contributed as a returner for the Jets as an undrafted rookie last year before landing on injured reserve in November, and he has the potential to be a major factor in the return game for Jacksonville. The Pitt product is not on the fantasy radar right now, though.

Jordan Reed is being evaluated for a concussion.

You don’t want to see anyone get a concussion, but this is especially concerning because Reed has a history of concussions. We’ll keep you updated, but if Reed does indeed have a concussion, his Week 1 status could certainly be in doubt with the Redskins’ first game coming two weeks from Sunday.
