The Jets waives Bucky Hodges.

The 2017 sixth-round pick of the Vikings might have been an early-season contributor during Chris Herndon’s four-game suspension, but he’ll now be looking for a new team. Hodges shouldn’t have much trouble finding interest around the league.

Parris Campbell (hamstring) remains out for the Colts.

Campbell is said to have taken a step forward in his recovery, but he’s missed a ton of time this summer in preparation for his rookie year, and he was expected back a week ago until an apparent setback with his hamstring. Consider the Ohio State product week-to-week for now. When he returns, Campbell will likely need to work his way into a role after missing so much time, and he doesn’t need to be drafted in redraft leagues.

Antonio Brown is seeing a foot specialist, according to The Athletic’s Vic Tafur.

This explain why Brown started training camp on the NFI list and has been missing practice time since being activated. Hopefully the foot isn’t much of an issue, but we should get more information soon. HBO’s Hard Knocks, premiering this Tuesday, could also give an inside look at this storyline.

Antonio Brown will play in 2019.

In an Instragram post shortly after it was revealed that he lost his helmet grievance against the NFL, Brown put out a statement reading: “While I disagree with the arbitrator’s decision, I’m working on getting back to full health and looking forward to rejoining my teammates on the field. I’m excited about this season appreciate all the concerns about my feet!” It’ll still be interesting to see if we get an inside look at this entire saga on HBO’s ‘Hard Knocks’ tomorrow night, but this story should end here. If you’re comfortable with the risk a potential blow up or issues from Brown during the season, he’s probably worth a selection in the second round of fantasy drafts.

Derek Carr talks up Tyrell Williams.

Talking to reporters, Carr was asked about the trust in his new receiver, and he made it clear that he trusts that Williams will make plays in one-on-one situations down the field for him. Carr also said that Williams isn’t just a No. 2 receiver (behind All-Pro Antonio Brown), as he thinks he could be a 100-reception, 1,000-yard guy if he was the featured receiver on offense. Before the Raiders traded for Brown, they were targeting Williams as their No. 1 receiver in free agency, so to have them both is a major boost to the team in real life, as well as to Carr’s fantasy value. Williams should at least be a boom/bust FLEX option this season, and should be one of the better later-round targets at receiver in fantasy drafts this summer.

Jordan Wilkins (foot) is considered week-to-week.

Wilkins is missing valuable time this preseason with his foot issue, but the Colts have dealt with multiple injuries at running back, making it more likely that he remains on the 53-man roster to start the season. Colts head coach Frank Reich says there’s a chance Wilkins is back for Week 1; if not, Marlon Mack could be set for a heavy number of carries while working in tandem with Nyheim Hines.

The Raiders signed Mack Brown.

Raiders head coach Jon Gruden is familiar with Brown, as the 27-year-old running back spent time with Jay Gruden and the Redskins. The former Florida Gator has played well when he’s been given opportunities, but Oakland will be a tough roster to crack with a deep running back group including first-round pick Josh Jacobs.
