Brett Hundley | Free Agent QB

The Cardinals are expected to sign Brett Hundley, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

This cannot become official until tomorrow, but Arizona will have a new backup quarterback under new head coach Kliff Kingsbury. Hundley got some good playing experience for an injured Aaron Rodgers in 2017 before backing up Russell Wilson last season. The 2015 fifth-round pick is one of the best backup quarterbacks in football, and now the big question is whether he’ll be backing up incumbent starter Josh Rosen or Heisman Trophy winner and potential No. 1 pick Kyler Murray.

Travis Kelce | Chiefs TE

Travis Kelce recently underwent ankle surgery, according to NFL Network.

Mike Garafolo said it’s a “cleanup” procedure, but Kelce will miss most—if not all—of OTAs. That said, this sounds relatively minor, and Kelce is fully expected to be ready for training camp. As of now, fantasy owners should have no reason to downgrade or be worried about the superstar tight end.

Breshad Perriman | Free Agent WR

Breshad Perriman is re-signing with the Browns, according to multiple reports.

Baltimore’s 2015 first-round pick finally emerged as a big-play threat in his first season with the Browns, averaging 21.3 yards per reception on 16 grabs, including a couple touchdowns. Perriman is unlikely to be any higher than the No. 4 receiver for Cleveland in 2019, but he will have a role on a team that hopes to compete for a playoff spot or division crown.

Ross Travis | Jets TE

The Colts signed Ross Travis to a one-year contract extension.

This keeps Travis in Indianapolis for 2019. The big tight end spent all of last season on injured reserve, but he’ll now join a stacked Colts tight end group that produced the most touchdowns at the position in the league in 2018. Travis isn’t really on the fantasy radar right now, as he’ll likely be more of a strong real-life contributor for the Colts than he will be a fantasy asset this season.

Ryan Griffin | Buccaneers QB

The Buccaneers re-signed quarterback Ryan Griffin, according to Rick Stroud.

Griffin has been the team’s No. 3 quarterback, but he could potentially be promoted to Jameis Winston’s backup if the Bucs don’t add significant competition through the draft. Despite being set to turn 30 in November, Griffin has yet to appear in a regular season game, and Tampa Bay would ideally keep it that way if Winston can finally breakout under Bruce Arians.

Dwayne Allen | Free Agent TE

The Patriots have informed tight end Dwayne Allen that they are releasing him, according to Adam Schefter.

Schefter says that the team has interest in bringing the veteran back for less money, but he will be free to find a new home if he chooses. Allen has been solid depth behind Rob Gronkowski over the past two years, but mostly as a blocking option.

Zach Zenner | Dolphins RB

The Lions signed Zach Zenner to a one-year contract extension.

Zenner was set to hit free agency, but Detroit locked him up for next season ahead of tomorrow’s start of the new league year. When given an opportunity toward the end of last season, Zenner averaged at least 4.4 yards per carry in each of the final four games from Weeks 14-17, and he averaged 4.8 yards per carry on the season. The 2015 undrafted running back will look to carve out a role as the primary backup behind starter Kerryon Johnson in 2019.
