Join now >D.J. Moore has a big day as Carolina defeats Baltimore, 36-21.
Moore caught five passes (on six targets) for 90 yards, also adding two carries for 39 yards. The first-round pick consistently picked up chunk yardage against of the league’s best defenses, as he showed the toughness, elusiveness, and overall run-after-catch ability that made him the Panthers’ top selection in April’s draft. Moore isn’t a must-own in redraft leagues, but he’s trending in the right direction heading with a fairly soft schedule down the stretch, including next week against Tampa Bay.

Mike Boone gets three carries against the Saints.
Boone gained 11 yards on his three carries in the Week 8 loss. The undrafted rookie running back is doing well with his opportunities, but he’s not a fantasy option right now.

Christian McCaffrey scores twice in win over the Ravens.
McCaffrey rushed 14 times for 45 yards and a touchdown, also adding four receptions for 11 yards and another score. The first touchdown came from 11 yards away in the first quarter as the Stanford product got lost behind the line of scrimmage and accelerated to the pylon, and the second came on a six-yard catch that he dove into the end zone for after the ball was deflected. Overall, it was about as good a game as fantasy owners could have hoped for against a stout Baltimore front, and McCaffrey should be back towards top-five status in all formats as the schedule softens up down the stretch, including next Sunday against Tampa Bay.

Austin Carr held without a catch in Week 8 win.
Carr was targeted once in the red zone, but he and Drew Brees didn’t seem to be on the same page. The 24-year-old isn’t a recommended fantasy option heading into a matchup with the undefeated Rams.
10/29/18 - 01:29 PM ET
Cam Newton stays hot as Panthers improve to 5-2.
Newton was 21/29 for 219 yards, two touchdowns, and zero interceptions, also adding ten carries for 52 yards and a score on the ground. The first touchdown toss came on a slant to Greg Olsen from 11 yards away, and the second was a fluky score where Christian McCaffrey dove for a deflected pass and landed with it in the end zone from six yards out. In the second half, Cam finished things off with an 12-yard keeper to put Carolina up 33-14. Newton needs to be in all lineups as an elite QB1 for next week’s home matchup against the Buccaneers.
10/29/18 - 09:40 AM ET
Adam Thielen again goes over 100 yards in Week 8.
Thielen caught seven passes for 103 yards and a touchdown along with one carry for 15 yards and a fumble lost against the Saints. The lost fumble was costly, but overall it was another exceptional game from Thielen. The former undrafted player extended his own NFL-record streak of consecutive 100-yard games to start a season, and he tied the great Calvin Johnson for the most consecutive 100-yard games in a season (eight). Through eight games, Thielen is on pace for a mind-boggling 148/1,850/12 line, and the 148 catches would set a new single-season NFL record (the record is currently 143 receptions).
10/29/18 - 01:28 PM ET
Nick Boyle catches one pass in loss to the Panthers.
It went for seven yards. The former fifth-round pick isn’t a strong fantasy option behind Hayden Hurst and Mark Andrews.
