Join now >Drew Brees, Saints improve to 6-1 with 30-20 victory in playoff rematch against Minnesota.
Brees was 18/23 for 120 yards, one touchdown, and one interception (his first of the season), but New Orleans won up front and played strong defense to get the win. It was a little surprising to see the Saints not really challenge downfield with superstar corner Xaiver Rhodes (ankle) out for Minnesota, but it didn’t turn into the shootout that might have been expected. Next week, there should certainly be fireworks back at the Superdome with the undefeated Rams coming to town in a battle for first place in the NFC, and Brees should rebound as a solid QB1.

Luke Willson catches three passes in Lions’ loss.
Willson gained 21 yards on his three receptions against his former Seahawks team. Willson isn’t a recommended fantasy option right now, as Detroit runs the offense through it’s running backs and wide receivers.

Tyler Higbee catches six-yard pass in win over the Packers.
It was his only reception of the game. Higbee isn’t a recommended fantasy option with just six receptions for 70 yards and a touchdown through eight weeks.
10/29/18 - 01:04 PM ET
Mark Andrews caught four passes for 31 yards in Sunday’s loss to the Panthers.
Andrews continues to be heavily involved as a receiving tight end despite fellow rookie and first-round pick Hayden Hurst now being healthy, but he’s on pace for just a 36/388/4 line at the season’s midway point. Fantasy owners should look elsewhere for Week 9 as Pittsburgh comes to town.

Gerald Everett catches 22-yard pass in win over the Packers.
It was his only reception of the game on two targets. Everett has yet to find the end zone or go for 25+ yards in a game this season, so be probably won’t be a recommended TE2 for Week 9 against New Orleans.
10/29/18 - 01:03 PM ET
Marvin Jones Jr. scores twice in Lions’ loss.
Jones opened the scoring against the Seahawks with a 39-yard touchdown reception on a play where he got open in the end zone down the left sideline after Matthew Stafford did a great job of stepping up in the pocket to buy time. He later added a 19-yard touchdown reception. Overall, Jones caught seven passes (on ten targets) for 117 yards and two touchdowns. This was Jones’ first time with 70+ yards this season, so it was a welcome performance for fantasy owners. Jones might see a lot of Xavier Rhodes next week if Rhodes (ankle) is healthy, but he’s still a FLEX option in fantasy lineups.
10/29/18 - 09:25 AM ET
Robert Woods caught five passes for 70 yards in Sunday’s win over Green Bay.
Woods was second on the team with seven targets and had another productive outing, but he didn’t score in October after three touchdowns in five days to close out September. Still, the 26-year-old is on pace for a 92/1,344/6 line at the season’s midway point, and he should remain a WR1/WR2 for next week’s matchup with the Saints.
