Join now >Tre’Quan Smith held in check as the Saints win with defense and the running game.
Smith caught three passes (on four targets) for 18 yards against Minnesota. The rookie has just ten catches this season, but he’s still averaging 19.1 yards per reception, and we’ll see if he can beat a struggling Rams secondary next Sunday as New Orleans looks to improve to 7-1. Smith is a worthwhile FLEX option in all formats.

Javorius Allen scores in loss to the Panthers.
Allen caught three passes for 18 yards, including a nine-yard touchdown in the second half, but he didn’t record a carry. The USC product is on pace for 60 receptions and ten total touchdowns this season, but his 288 total yards through eight games keeps him as a limited-upside FLEX option heading into a matchup against the Steelers.

Michael Thomas caught five passes for 81 yards in Sunday’s win over the Saints.
The numbers were boosted by a 44-yard reception that looked to hit the ground, but Thomas drew pass interference on the play anyway. While it was a little disappointing that he didn’t have a bigger game without Xaiver Rhodes (ankle) active for Minnesota, Thomas did well to gain 81 yards on a night that Drew Brees threw for just 120 yards. Consider the Ohio State product a solid WR1 for next Sunday’s potential shootout against the Rams.

Chris Moore caught two passes for 19 yards in Sunday’s loss to the Panthers.
Moore has yet to crack 20 yards in a game, so he’s not a recommended fantasy option heading into a huge divisional matchup with the Steelers.

Latavius Murray scores in Vikings’ loss to the Saints.
In a matchup with the league’s No. 1 run defense giving up just 3.1 yards per carry, Murray ran the ball well downhill throughout the night ,carrying 13 times for 56 yards and a touchdown while also adding five receptions for 39 yards. The score was on a goal line carry where Murray went airborne to get the ball in for six—Murray has been perhaps the best goal-line back in the league for a few seasons. With Dalvin Cook (hamstring) likely to miss next Sunday’s game against the Lions, Murray will remain a very good option in fantasy lineups. Murray barely got the ball to open the season, but his pace over the last four games would put him at a 252/1,288/16 rushing line for a 16-game stretch.

Ameer Abdullah loses fumble in Week 8.
Abdullah lost a fumble on a kickoff return, and he received one touch on offense, catching one pass for six yards. Abdullah isn’t a recommended fantasy option right now, but he could be dealt by the Lions ahead of Tuesday’s trade deadline.

Alvin Kamara scores twice as Saints win playoff rematch over the Vikings, 30-20.
Kamara rushed 13 times for 45 yards and a touchdown, also adding seven receptions for 31 yards and another score. The scoring got started with a three-yard pass to Kamara on the game’s opening drive, and he closed out the first half with a one-yard run up the middle. The reining Offensive Rookie of the Year has averaged a mortal 4.4 yards per carry through seven games, but he already has nine touchdowns, and Kamara is an easy RB1 option for a potential shootout next Sunday against the undefeated Rams.
