The Cowboys have waived Cooper Rush.
With veteran Andy Dalton now Dallas’ backup quarterback, this is not a surprise. The Cowboys are allowing Rush to find a new home soon as he looks to compete for a backup job ahead of the 2020 season. Rush spent the past three years with the Cowboys after going undrafted in 2017, so he did very well for himself to start his NFL career, and it should not take him long to land with another team.

The Eagles waived Alex Ellis.
Ellis is being waived to make room for the Eagles to officially re-sign veteran offensive lineman Jason Peters. Ellis, a 2016 undrafted free agent that’s been able to stick around with five different teams throughout his career, will now go through waivers.

Odell Beckham Jr. has been fully cleared.
Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski says that Beckham is “free and clear” following offseason core muscle surgery, adding that the receiver will be ready for Day 1 of training camp next month. Beckham was banged up last year, which limited his explosiveness in another relatively down year for him. As he enters his second season in Cleveland, OBJ is looking to get back to his All-Pro form under a new coaching staff.

Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin, who has a new quarterback in six-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady, is among the leaders at wide receiver. We project Godwin to catch 108 passes for 1,541 yards and nine touchdowns this season following his breakout 2019 campaign.

The Chiefs are signing Shea Patterson, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
Patterson was a controversial prospect that much of the media harshly criticized, but he has the potential to be a playmaking backup that can come off the bench and make things happen if injury hits. At Michigan, Patterson threw for 5,661 yards with a 45:15 touchdown-interception ratio in two years as the starter, and it will be interesting to see if a more wide open offense benefits him at the next level as he looks to develop in a great spot with Andy Reid and Kansas City. Patterson has the talent to work his way into the backup role behind Patrick Mahomes.

Kenny Stills had his felony charges dropped.
This was fully expected, as it was unlikely Stills would be fully prosecuted following a protest with dozens of other people. Stills is set to report for training camp with the Texans later this month.
