Join now >The Cowboys cut Lance Lenoir.
The 2017 undrafted receiver has spent the last four years with Dallas, so perhaps he’ll land back with them at some point. For now, the Cowboys are headed in another direction ahead of the start of the 2020 NFL Draft on Thursday.

The Patriots are trading Rob Gronkowski to the Patriots, according to multiple reports.
FOX’s Jay Glazer said a deal will get done within 24 hours, and then ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported it will be a fourth-round pick headed to the Bucs in exchange for Gronk and a seventh-round pick. The compensation is a bit surprising because New England had control, but Bill Belichick likely decided that he’d rather just get what he can before the draft (and Tampa Bay was obviously the only bidder because that’s where Gronk wanted to go). New England is now loaded with selections at the end of Day 2 into Day 3, which will give them more flexibility to move up and down the board this week. For fantasy purposes, Gronk’s arrival is a huge boost to Tom Brady’s value, and he should be viewed as a high-end QB1 option on an offense that rivals the 2007 Patriots squad in terms of firepower. Health will be the big concern for Gronkowski, but he is immediately back in play as an elite TE1 in a tier with George Kittle and Travis Kelce.

Rob Gronkowski has told the Patriots he is interested in coming out of retirement to play for the Buccaneers, according to Ian Rapoport.
Gronk—perhaps the most dominant tight end in NFL history—wants to team back up with Tom Brady after a year away from the game, but this is a very interesting situation with New England holding his rights. The Pats struggled to find tight end production in 2019, and they could essentially hold Gronkowski hostage if they don’t like the potential compensation that the Buccaneers offer (assuming the desire to return is accelerated). Bill Belichick may want to have the situation solved during the 2020 NFL Draft to get picks that he can use to help the team in 2020. If Gronk is available in your dynasty league, you should sprint to pick him up.

The Jaguars are releasing Marqise Lee, according to Ian Rapoport.
Lee is said to be fully healthy after what was essentially his second consecutive lost season, but it would be a surprise if he signed elsewhere before the draft with so many upcoming rookies for teams to target. That said, talent has never been the question for the USC product, and he should get a chance to earn a starting job if he can stay healthy this summer. Lee totaled 174 receptions, 2,184 yards, and eight touchdowns since being drafted by the Jags in the 2014 NFL Draft. Jacksonville is a team that could potentially target a wideout in the first round on Thursday night with two selections at their disposal.

The Dolphins waived Andy Jones.
Jones spent time with Miami last year, but the 2016 undrafted receiver will look to land with a new team soon. Jones might have to wait until sometime after the draft to find his new landing spot.

Multiple reports: The Bears are releasing Trey Burton.
There will not be a “Philly Special” reunion in Chicago, as the Bears are moving in another direction at tight end. Burton signed a big deal with the Bears during free agency a couple of years ago, but he unfortunately had trouble staying healthy. The versatile tight end should not have trouble finding a new team, but at this point he might need to wait until after next week’s draft to find his new squad.

The Jaguars signed Jacques Patrick.
Patrick was a contributor to Florida State for all four of his seasons in school, but he went undrafted in last year’s NFL Draft before he was selected by the Tampa Bay Vipers of the XFL. Patrick had 254 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns in five games in the XFL, and he’s a big back at six-foot-three and over 230 pounds. He’ll look to win a roster spot in Jacksonville this summer.
