Randall Cobb | Free Agent WR

Randall Cobb is signing with the Cowboys, according to multiple reports.

Cobb visited Dallas, and the team locked him into a contract. The long-time Packer spent eight seasons in Green Bay, catching 470 passes for 5,524 yards and 41 touchdowns in 105 games, with his best campaign coming in 2014 when he posted a 91/1,287/12 line. As shocking as it might seem to many football fans, Cobb is still just 28 years old, though, and he should have plenty left in the tank as long as he can remain on the field. Cobb’s game will likely mesh well with Dak Prescott, and he’s arguably an upgrade over Cole Beasley in the slot for the Cowboys. He’ll likely be available at the end of fantasy drafts this summer.

Tommylee Lewis | Panthers WR

The Lions signed Tommylee Lewis.

The Saints did not tender Lewis, who became an unrestricted free agent. Lewis lands in a nice spot with Detroit, as he’ll have an opportunity to carve out a role as a situational deep treat for Matthew Stafford. He’ll also contribute on special teams, but he’s not on the fantasy radar at the moment.

Leonard Fournette | Free Agent RB

Tom Coughlin says he has “full confidence” in Leonard Fournette.

Jacksonville’s early offseason actions confirm Coughlin’s words, as they appear to be ready to ride an offensive attack led by Fournette and new quarterback Nick Foles. Coughlin said: “[Fournette] does have some things he’s got to prove when he comes back about his preparation, but he’s a young, young player, he loves football, had an outstanding year, had a very disappointing year, and I think he wants to — we want him to be a great player and I think he’s in the same mindset.” While 2018 was certainly a rough patch—with the franchise frustrated about the running back, who admitted himself he could be in better shape—the Jags are not giving up on the fourth overall pick of the 2017 draft. Expect Fournette to get a heavy workload this season, which could lead to him being a major value in fantasy drafts if he’s fully committed and reports to the team in great condition.

Daniel Brown | Chiefs TE

The Jets signed Daniel Brown.

After spending the first two years of his career in Baltimore, Brown spent the last three seasons in Chicago. Brown can contribute as a receiver, but the 26-year-old will mostly contribute on special teams and as a blocker for the Jets.

Blake Bortles | Retired QB

Blake Bortles is signing with the Rams, according to ESPN’s Jeff Darlington.

It felt like this was going to happen when it came out that Bortles was going to visit the Rams today, and the deal should be announced shortly. The third overall pick in the 2014 draft, the former Jaguars starter helps give the Rams one of the best backup quarterback situations in football. While playing in Sean McVay’s offense, with rushing ability as a bonus, Bortles might deliver QB1 value if he had to see the field in the event of a Jared Goff injury.

Darren Fells | Free Agent TE

The Texans are signing Darren Fells, according to Mike Garafolo.

Fells was recently released by the Browns, but unsurprisingly, it didn’t take him long to find a new home. In Houston, he will provide a boost as a blocker to aid a sub-par offensive line, and the veteran also has the size to be a threat in the red zone. The biggest fantasy impact here is that Fells will ding the stock of the Texans’ 2018 draft class (third-rounder Jordan Akins and sixth-rounder Jordan Thomas).

Ameer Abdullah | Free Agent RB

The Vikings have re-signed Ameer Abdullah.

Abdullah joined the Vikings last season after being released by the Lions, but he mostly contributed on special teams with just four offensive touches between the division foes in 2018. Turning 26 this summer, Abdullah will hope to finally turn his career around as depth behind Dalvin Cook next year, though Minnesota will almost certainly add a bigger compliment at some point. The former second-round pick isn’t a prospect to be very optimistic about in dynasty leagues right now.
