Join now >Chris Ivory leads the Bills in Week 8 rushing.
While LeSean McCoy struggled to get much going on runs bounced to the outside, Ivory ran well downhill against the Patriots. Ivory carried six times for 34 yards and added one reception for 11 yards. If McCoy is traded tomorrow, Ivory would have FLEX value, but otherwise he doesn’t need to be on fantasy rosters.

Bennie Fowler catches four passes in Week 8.
Fowler gained 48 yards on his four receptions. He had a fade opportunity in the end zone but he couldn’t come up with it. Fowler is not a recommended fantasy option at the moment, and former first-rounder Corey Coleman could pass him on the depth chart after the Giants return from their bye week.

Tom Brady, Patriots pull away in the fourth quarter of 25-6 win over the Bills.
Brady was 29/45 for 324 yards, zero touchdowns, and zero interceptions, also adding an eight-yard carry. It was an offensive struggle as Buffalo played stout defense (particularly in their own territory to limit New England to field goals), but a pick six in the fourth quarter essentially sealed the game for the Pats. Brady should put up much bigger numbers back at home for a Sunday Night Football clash with Aaron Rodgers and the Packers, so he’s a high-end QB1 for Week 9.

Ian Thomas catches 15-yard pass in win over the Ravens.
It was his only reception of the game. Thomas has a bright future in dynasty leagues, but he’s not a fantasy option as a rookie behind Greg Olsen.

Nathan Peterman plays in relief against the Patriots.
After Derek Anderson left with an apparent forearm injury on Buffalo’s final drive, Peterman entered the game and went 2/2 for 23 yards. The second-year quarterback won’t be a recommended fantasy option if he starts versus the Bears in Week 9.

Devin Funchess caught three passes for 27 yards in Sunday’s win over the Ravens.
Funchess was able to haul in all three of his targets, but Carolina didn’t really challenge Baltimore on the outside in a 36-21 victory. The Michigan product already had his bye week and gets an easy schedule the rest of the way for the 5-2 Panthers, so he’s an excellent buy-low target and should provide low-end WR2 value the rest of the way. For what it’s worth, Funchess was held to a combined five receptions for 22 yards against Tampa Bay last year, but he should be able to do damage against their smaller secondary in Week 9.

Derek Anderson leaves Monday night game with apparent forearm injury.
On Buffalo’s final offensive drive, the 35-year-old quarterback was sacked and stayed down for a bit before leading to the locker room while appearing to favor his right throwing arm. Before leaving, Anderson was 22/39 for 290 yards and an interception (a pick-six late in the game) along with a fumble lost. Overall, Anderson played well given the circumstances and gave his receivers chances to make plays. Hopefully he’s OK, but he won’t be a fantasy option if healthy against the Bears next week.
