Join now >Ronald Jones (foot) to be evaluated.
Jones reportedly had his foot wrapped in ice at practice, and Bucs head coach Bruce Arians told reporters that he doesn’t think it’s serious. Hopefully this is just a precaution for the third-year back, but hopefully we get more clarity on his status in the coming days. Jones knows this is an important summer and season for him as he looks to be a huge part of a Tom Brady-led offense.

Kyle Juszczyk (hamstring) is week-to-week.
The Niners have probably been hit harder than anyone by injuries this summer, and Juszczyk is the next player that looks uncertain for the season opener. From a fantasy perspective, this doesn’t make a huge impact, but Juszczyk is a key player for San Francisco in real life.

The 49ers released Jaron Brown.
The team is brining in a couple of different receivers and moving on from Brown for now. The veteran former Cardinal and Seahawk should land with a new team soon.

The 49ers signed Kevin White.
After he was out of the league last year following training camp with the Cardinals, the former first-round pick is back as he looks to earn a roster spot for the defending NFC champion 49ers. It’ll likely be an uphill climb to make San Francisco’s roster, but White is a talented player that can provide a size/speed element on the outside in Kyle Shanahan’s offense.

The Jets are trading for Kalen Ballage.
Miami was said to be releasing Ballage last night, but the division rival Jets swooped in and offered a conditional late-round pick in exchange for the third-year running back. With the move, New York ensures Ballage would land with them instead of another team having a shot at him on waivers. This is good news for Ballage, who appears to have a believer in his former head coach Adam Gase (his coach during 2018 with the Dolphins). The Jets have a crowded backfield behind Le’Veon Bell, adding Frank Gore, La’Mical Perine, and now Ballage this offseason.

David Montgomery (groin) is expected to miss two-to-four weeks, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
This timeline puts Montgomery right around the season opener on September 13 depending on how quickly he can heal. The Bears are going to be smart to ensure that Montgomery doesn’t aggravate the injury by returning too soon, but you can bet the second-year back wants to be on the field for Week 1. Montgomery’s draft slot is likely to take a hit due to this injury, but he was already looking like a potential value in the middle of fantasy drafts and could become even more of a value now.

Joe Mixon is dealing with migraines.
Mixon has missed some practice time recently, and this explains it. Migraines can be very difficult to deal with, but the talk is that Mixon is expected to return to the field soon. Also keep in mind that Mixon is looking for a new contract as he heads into the final year of his rookie deal.
