Join now >The Saints placed Dwayne Washington on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Unfortunately, the NFL has seen a couple of guys added to the COVID-19 list recently, meaning the players either have the virus or have come in close contact to someone with it. Regardless, Washington must now get cleared before he can rejoin his teammates for practice. Hopefully we don’t see any outbreaks within a locker room in the coming weeks.

Kalen Ballage failed his physical with the Jets due to a hamstring injury.
The trade will be voided and Ballage is headed back to Miami, though he’s likely to be released. New York could look to bring him back as a free agent, especially since La’Mical Perine is now dealing with an ankle injury.

La’Mical Perine injured his ankle at today’s scrimmage.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport says that early indications are it’s a sprain, but any missed time will hurt the rookie’s chances of a role in Week 1. Either way, Le’Veon Bell and Frank Gore will handle the bulk of the touches, leaving Perine as more of a stash in redraft leagues.

Jalen Reagor dealing with shoulder injury.
Reagor left practice early to day and is said to be getting an MRI to determine the extent of his shoulder injury, but the Eagles reportedly believe it’s not serious. Philadelphia’s first game is just two weeks away, though, so the dynamic first-round rookie’s status is at least in some doubt as things stand. More information on Reagor should become available in the next day or so.

The 49ers placed J.J. Nelson (knee) on injured reserve.
Nelson is expected to be released from IR with an injury settlement when his knee injury heals. The speedy veteran receiver is off the redraft radar at the moment.

Cooper Kupp is dealing with a low-ankle sprain, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Rapoport says that he likely won’t practice this week, but the injury is considered minor, and Kupp would be playing if it was the regular season. The bigger concern for Kupp’s outlook in 2020 is the team continuing to rely more on 12 personnel that led to decreased playing time down the stretch in 2019. He remains a high-upside WR2 target.

Carson Wentz is day-to-day with a lower leg injury.
This is according to in-house reporter Dave Spadaro on the team’s pre-scrimmage broadcast, as Wentz is not in pads and will be a spectator. This could end up literally being nothing with Philadelphia just calling his absence something other than rest, but it’s certainly notable for a player with Wentz’s injury history. If nothing else, fantasy owners drafting today or tonight can use this news as a tiebreaker to move Wentz down a spot or two.
