Join now >Drew Brees did not return to today’s game.
Brees appears to be dealing with a serious thumb injury to his throwing hand, and it looks like this could be a multi-week absence after Brees didn’t appear to even try to throw the ball with the injury. Expect Teddy Bridgewater to be under center for the Saints for at least the next few weeks, but we’ll see if there’s a more definite timeline for Brees in the next 24 hours. Before leaving today’s game, Brees was 3/8 for 38 yards and an interception on a deflected pass.

Devin Singletary leaves game with apparent hamstring injury.
Singletary just hobbled off the field during a fourth-quarter carry, and he appeared to grab his hamstring. It doesn’t look like he’ll return with Buffalo up 14 points with under five minutes to go. The rookie had six carries for 57 yards and a touchdown while working in tandem with before leaving, and hopefully this injury doesn’t force him to miss more time past today.

Damien Williams (knee) is officially questionable to return for the Chiefs.
It’s unclear when Williams was hurt, but with Kansas City in full control against Oakland, don’t expect him to return today. Before leaving, Williams had nine carries for eight yards and three receptions for 48 yards. Hopefully there’s an update on his status sometime tonight.

The Patriots have released Lance Kendricks, according to Field Yates.
Kendricks was suspended for the opener, but with the Patriots signing Antonio Brown, they are expected to run a bunch of four- or even five-wide sets, so the tight end was expendable. Even if he gets another chance elsewhere, Kendricks is unlikely to be a fantasy contributor.

Tre’Quan Smith leaves game with apparent ankle injury.
Smith just appeared to have his ankle rolled on after a nice run on a long reception. The Saints are already thin at receiver right now, so hopefully Smith is able to get back out there soon.

James Conner (knee) is officially questionable to return to today’s game.
Conner was getting looked at on the sideline and appeared to be stretching his knee out a bit, so hopefully he’s able to get back out there. Jaylen Samuels will handle most of the work in the backfield for Pittsburgh with Conner out. We’ll update you as more information becomes available on Conner’s status.

Dwayne Harris (ankle) has returned to the game for Oakland.
This is a big surprise. It looked like Harris would certainly be done for the day after he left the game, but he’s showing toughness to get back out there for his team. Harris will mostly contribute on special teams.
